Graduate students and young career researchers training
Before the symposium (5 – 6 Oct 2019) training for MSc and PhD students and young career researchers will be organized at Addis Ababa University (AAU), Arat Kilo Campus. This training will be free, and will include certificates, coffee/tea breaks, water, and lunch for all participants during both days. Please take a note that we are unfortunately not able to cover any accommodation and/or traveling costs. The final program can be seen here.

Teachers training
After the symposium (12 – 13 Oct 2019) we will organize under the NASE a training for secondary school teachers. NASE is one of working groups of the IAU Commission C1, and has the main goal to teach teachers astronomy and to teach teachers how to teach astronomy. During the training, teachers will gain theoretical and practical skills. Using recycled and cheap materials they will learn how to make experiments with their pupils and to explain different physical and astrophysical processes.
